ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Preferred Experience: 10 to 15 Years
Education Level: Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Professional Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • NYS professional engineer license in good standing
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting environment or reasonable combination of regulatory, industry and consulting experience

STAFF GEOLOGIST

Industries: Environmental Consulting and Professional Engineering Services
Job Type: Full Time
Preferred Experience: 1 to 5 Years
Education Level: Bachelor or Master Degree in Geology or Related Discipline

The position requires skills and willingness to apply knowledge for a variety of environmental services, including mining and mineralogical assessments, Phase I and Phase II investigations, water supply studies, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, soil vapor and indoor air sampling, subsurface investigation, remedial design, and construction.

Our projects are led by a Senior Level Project Manager (Engineer/Geologist) and are primarily located in New York State.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform field inspection and documentation of construction activities;
  • Perform field investigations including drilling/well installation oversight, soil description/core logging, environmental monitoring, environmental sampling, and prepare concise field notes;
  • Perform stormwater monitoring;
  • Manage and analyze environmental data including preparing graphs and maps; and
  • Assist in report preparation.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in geology (or related discipline) with 1 to 5 years of experience preferred;
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to effectively use common software applications, such as Microsoft® Office and Excel;
  • Availability to occasionally perform field activities including occasional evening hours or weekends;
  • Must be available for overnight travel;
  • Interest in professional development and advancement, moving toward professional licensure;
  • Ability to work well with colleagues; work effectively to meet challenging schedules;
  • Valid DMV driver’s license; and
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
